Horse Training & Re-Education

Melbourne & Yarra Valley Western,  English & Pleasure Horse Trainer

Has your horse been out of work or presenting some behavioural problems? Are you wanting your horse to be softer and more engaged under saddle? Or maybe you're looking to train your horse in a certain English or Western discipline? You're not alone. For most horse owners there comes a time when you feel inadequate to handle a situation or problem with your horse. Something that is beyond your level of skill, knowledge, and competence.

Horses are trained or re-educated for a variety of reasons, from problem solving issues to progressing the horse's ability. Whether your horse is trained or green, if things are spiraling downward, seeking help sooner rather than later is crucial.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience, Mark has assisted countless clients in building solid foundations, addressing problem behaviors, and training horses for various disciplines and skill levels. Mark’s horse training approach is about mastering the basics, the fundamentals on which advanced training is built on.

Mark can further train for a variety of Western performance and English disciplines, and he has successfully worked with Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Quarter Horses, Stock Horses, Arabians, Gypsy Cobs, Clydesdales, Friesians, Andalusians, and more. Horses are never too old to learn. They are capable of learning new skills and behaviours at any age. The length of training required for your horse is determined by the horse's present knowledge and abilities.

It all starts with a good horse.

What we require from you as a client

Our horse training and re-education services are reserved for the truly committed horse owners. It's a commitment that demands more than just financial investment; it calls for you to commit time, energy, and to your trainer. We welcome clients to ask questions and be involved in the process of training, so when you take your horse home, you know what you need to continue working on.

Mark limits the number of horses he takes in each year to ensure that every client and horse receives the utmost attention and expertise. Due to this, we extend our horse training and re-education services exclusively to owners who are committed to their horse's education and training.
